Graflit: Urban Interiors participating artist Gerhard Human recently discussed his comic book proposal with the CCIBA. Gerhard is a Cape Town based artist who by day works full-time for an advertising agency and by night makes the time to produce his own artwork. He recently featured in a successful group show entitled Those Who Wonder at illustration gallery, Salon 91, with fellow Graflit: Urban Interiors participating artists Daniel du Plessis, Jean de Wet and Jade Klara. Gerhard has participated in a number of group exhibitions and is fast building a name for himself as one of South Africa's most popular illustration talents.

Gerhard describes his proposal:

We follow a biker on a relaxing joyride around Cape Town. He gets lost and finds himself in a panicking situation when a group of thugs attempt to mug him. Attempting to flee he gets hit by a taxi jumping a stop street. The man, injured and clinging onto life, drags himself to a secluded alley where he slumps down staring at the entrance. What follows is either a violent form of divine intervention or tragic hallucination...
